Description:
Encourage the cooperation and alignment between business functions and IT Teams with project management elements. Identification, specification, and implementation of process changes in the business collaboration. Also, focus on bringing continuous improvement within the department of roughly 80 IT specialists according to agile principles (or lean management).
The qualified Intern should expect to contribute & improve in the in the following functions:
Project Management: Support for project planning, steering, and coordination. Run own small projects (see below) including documentation, evaluating, problem solving, and reporting. Help identify, design, and implement internal process improvements (agile/lean). Create presentations and communication documents using Corporate Identity standards. Support with major project spanning over the whole plant (Inbound Strategy and Vehicle Launch projects). Own smaller projects (depending on applicants' preference and availability). Perform tasks related to the agile transformation roadmap.
Qualifications:
* Candidate should be pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business or similar field.
* Demonstrated written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint).
* Analytical mind that is open to innovative ideas. Ideally with some IT background.
* Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on the US grading scale
* Must be enrolled at a university outside of the United States.
* Must have completed a prior BMW internship of at least 3 months in length
* Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
* Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
* Work term dates are from September 22, 2025 to March 06, 2026.
