Description
The qualified intern/Co-op should expect to contribute & improve in the following functions:
* Support the Parts Integration Specialist (IPT) and the Project Manager with launch related activities of current and upcoming Plant 10 Projects.
* Maintain milestone plans, content overviews, and other planning documents related to project launches.
* Generate the parts integration status presentation regularly.
* Arrange and steer multi-department project meetings including supporting topic resolution as appropriate.
* Knowledge and involvement in upcoming BMW product launches and understanding of new vehicle development process.
* Capability to work with process partners on a multi-departmental basis both in Plant Spartanburg, and across the BMW Group (i.e. Research & Development or FIZ in Munich, Plant Rosslyn in South Africa, etc.)
* Ability to develop meaningful applications to evaluate launch related data effectivelyAbility to lead cross-departmental meetings and steer issues effectively.
* Knowledge of the meeting landscape and purpose of meetings.
* Development of analytical and process-oriented thinking.
Qualifications
* Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
* Have enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States.
* Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application.
* Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours / week).
* Transfer students must have a GPA from current university.
* MUST ATTACH A COPY OF UNOFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT
* Complete and pass a substance abuse test before the work term.
* THE WORK TERM DATES ARE August 11th - December 12th, 2025.
* Industrial Engineering, Data/Business Analytics, Logistics/Operations Management, Business, International Business.
* Microsoft Office Suite (experience in Excel/PowerPoint, preferred experience in Power BI).
* Preferred previous Programming Experience (VBA, Matlab, R, Python, SQL etc.)
* Planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to show initiative and work independently.
* Effective and professional communication skills.
