In the role of Equipment Engineering Intern you'll play a pivotal part in trouble-shooting, repairing, and maintaining production equipment and tooling while ensuring compliance with and adherence to product and equipment manufacturers' specifications.

As a Finance Intern within the Finance Department at an industrial aeronautical site, you will play a key role in supporting accounting and controlling activities, with a specific focus on digitalization initiatives. You will assist with month-end closing, forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting while contributing to the digital transformation of financial processes. This internship offers valuable exposure to the integration of digital tools and systems that improve financial accuracy, reporting efficiency, and decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Month-End Closing Support:
o Assist with the preparation and reconciliation of financial statements for the month-end closing process.
o Support the integration of digital tools in the closing process, ensuring the accuracy and automation of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and reporting.
o Help streamline manual tasks through digital solutions, reducing errors and improving closing cycle time.
o Contribute to ad-hoc accounting tasks and projects

- Budgeting & Forecasting:
o Support the preparation and updating of annual budgets and periodic forecasts
o Assist in collecting and validating data for forecasting purposes.
o Help monitor actual performance against budget/forecast and provide variance analysis and support the implementation of corrective actions.

- Digital Financial Reporting:
o Support the preparation of financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow)
o Assist in automating reporting processes by helping to implement or optimize reporting dashboards, data visualizations, and key financial performance indicators.
o Provide insights into integrating data from various sources (ERP, Excel, external databases) into unified financial reports.

- Automation & Process Improvement:
o Contribute to finance department efforts to digitalize and automate routine accounting tasks
o Identify opportunities for process optimization through automation, digital tools, and integration across the organization

Parlons de vous

- Education:
o Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a degree program in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
o Strong academic performance, with a focus on financial accounting, management accounting, or financial analysis.

- Skills:
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced level) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., M3, SAP, or similar).
o Experience with or interest in data management tools (SQL, Excel Query, Power BI or automation tools) is a plus.
o Knowledge of accounting principles and an interest in digital transformation within finance.
o Attention to detail, data accuracy, and the ability to work with complex datasets.
o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
o Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment, collaborating with teams and stakeholders across the US, Mexico, Canada, the UK, and France, while navigating different time zones, cultures, and regulatory frameworks.
