Overview: (COMPANY NAME) is looking for a highly motivated, self-starter, and enthusiastic intern from Japan to join our dynamic team in either London or Geneva offices. This internship will focus on developing a robust narrative on human security in global health, under the supervision of Chief of Asia, Middle East and Europe (AMEE) region. The intern will operate in a vibrant and evolving environment, contributing to impactful work in public health.
Responsibilities: As a Human Security in Global Health Intern, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Research and Evidence Building: Conduct in-depth research on the 'human security in global health' approach, including analyzing current literature and identifying key themes and gaps.
* Collecting and Collating Good Practices: Gather and organize examples of good practices in the application of human security in global health from various sources.
* Comparative Analysis: Compare and contrast the responses of two countries that used state-centric and human-centric approaches to the recent pandemic.
* Knowledge Management: Create and update documents and presentations that summarize findings and insights.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to streamline the research and evidence-building process.
Required Skills and Experience:
* Enrolled in a Bachelor's/ Master's degree. Graduates in management or public health are encouraged to apply.
* Should be well versed with Japanese language proficiency, read, write and speak.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
* Basic research and analytical skills, including the ability to proactively identify opportunities.
* Demonstrated ability to multi-task and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.
* Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
* Excellent command of written and spoken English.
