Digital Energy Commercial Transformation Analyst - Internship
Reporting to Digital Energy Commercial Transformation Director

Digital Energy division is part of Schneider Electric's Energy Management Business Unit, one of the two business units. Digital Energy Mission is to help customers achieve decarbonization, resiliency & efficiency with digitization of buildings, power & microgrids. In Digital Energy we accelerate the digital transformation of Power Management and Buildings Management through innovative, trusted, and open solutions. We lead the digital architectures across Energy Management Business Unit to create a unique digital experience for customers and partners.
Digital Energy Commercial team is part of Schneider Electric's Digital Energy division. It aims at growing, disrupting, and transforming Digital Energy business globally, as such, it acts as a business enabler in the various Schneider Electric operation hubs: France, Europe, International (IO+), US and China & East Asia. Upstream, the commercial team is working the Digital Energy lines of business (Digital Buildings, Digital Power, Microgrid) and downstream with all Digital Energy zones / country organizations. Its main responsibilities are:
* Digital Energy Commercial transformation
* Digital Energy Commercial performance intelligence and pricing
* Digital Building, Digital Power, Digital Microgrid Offers launch and business development
* Digital Energy Solutions for Non-building segments
* Digital Energy Transactional Go-to-Market & Partners
* Digital Buildings direct business execution
Digital Energy Commercial Transformation mission is to support the operations by scoping, structuring and driving selected critical commercial transformations.
Missions:
Reporting to the Digital Energy Commercial Transformation Director (based in Rueil Malmaison, France), the Analyst will support key commercial transformations as well as ad hoc strategic analysis. The role requires strong coordination with multiple stakeholders in the organisation (commercial team, country operations, Line of Business, etc.).
The analyst will work on 2 different pillars across the year, with evolving weight / focus depending on priorities throughout the year.
* Ad hoc business intelligence / transformation topic analysis
* Support / drive ad hoc business intelligence / transformation analysis for the commercial organization. Examples of analysis: business performance analysis, go to market analysis, M&A support, blueprint analysis, etc.
* Transformation Projects
* Support selected commercial transformation projects throughout the year, via strong collaboration with multiple stakeholders in the organization (countries, Line of Business, commercial team, etc.), ensuring transformation impact in the sales organizations. Examples of topics to be potentially covered: building renovation mission transformation, transition to OPEX model, etc.
Location of the position: Rueil-Malmaison
Internship duration: 6 months
Desired start date: March 2025
Requirements and qualifications :
* Strong analytical skills: ability to screen, absorb & synthesize information across topics to make meaningful recommendations.
* Strong quantitative skills: comfortable working with numbers and quantitative analyses
* International, multi-cultural mind-set and approach
* Business Developer - Resourceful and self-starter attitude, interest to roll-up one sleeves, and get things done
* Good interpersonal skills
* Open-mindedness, actively listens & values others' views and strong willingness to learn
* Ability to connect with people easily, capable of working & collaborating across multiple diverse geographies & cultures
* Team Player - Passionate and dynamic professional with the energy and ability to build trust and foster collaboration across the team; Collaborative team-oriented style
* Fast-learner, proactive & self-starter with ability to execute in a fast-paced & constantly evolving global environment
* Proficient use of Excel and Powerpoint
* Master degree student from engineering/business schools or MBA student with prior degree in engineering, economics, or business.
* Strong interest in Commercial Transformation, Electrification and Sustainability
* Primary internship experience with :
* Industry exposure to energy and/or electrical distribution and/or industrial services and/or software
* Functional exposure to strategy and/or transformation and/or consulting
