PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

(COMPANY NAME) Analytics Cloud is the data analytics solution from (COMPANY NAME) and one of its most successful cloud products. It is used by thousands of customers to make sense of their (COMPANY NAME) and non-(COMPANY NAME) data. It runs standalone or embedded in the other (COMPANY NAME)'s products complementing their business value with comprehensive AI-driven data insights. Along with core analytics capabilities, it also offers planning and predictive, thus giving the data super-power to our customers and enables them as data-driven enterprises.

The product runs in the cloud on different infrastructures. The mission of our team is to build distributed micro-services which add functionalities and core capabilities to the product. We are working on cloud native software with resilience, high-availability, scalability and cost efficiency on top of our priorities.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

When part of the team, we expect you to focus on the following engineering activities:

* Design, create and test software

* Support its way thru the CI/CD pipeline

* Automate any repeatable and tedious tasks

* Ensure services are up and running for all live customers

* Take care for bugs in software, ensure they are fixed and prevented in future

* Participate in team's discussions and decisions; offer code reviews to peers

* Identify any flaws in the applied processes, strive for continuous improvement

* Assess and adopt new technologies, tools, new versions of existing software

* Work according to the lean and agile principles

The nature of the software we produce requires us to specialize in:

* Java, Python, Go

* Cloud computing, micro-services

* Creating scalable, highly available and resilient software

* (COMPANY NAME) Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Ali Cloud

* Cloud Foundry, Kubernetes

* Containers, Docker

* Relational and NoSQL databases

* Shell and system programming

* Automated tests - unit, acceptance, integration

* Advanced CI/CD

* Observability

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
