Join (COMPANY NAME) as a SCM Service Supply Chain Intern and embark on a journey to make a real impact. This internship will begin in April-May 2025.
(COMPANY NAME)'s new campus for its critical power systems in Vantaa, Finland, was completed in November 2023. The 16,500 m² site houses research and development, manufacturing, warehousing, sales and service under one roof, which will create plenty of additional jobs.
As one of the world's largest manufacturers of three-phase uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), (COMPANY NAME)'s expansion in this area is driven by strong business growth and the demand for systems that ensure business continuity. Situated in a prime location next to the Helsinki airport, the Vantaa facility will serve as (COMPANY NAME)'s Critical Power Solutions headquarters and a center of excellence for data centers.
What you'll do:
Your main responsibility as SCM Service Supply Chain Intern is to back up the Service Supply Chain Specialists during the holiday time period. The position requires spare parts purchasing, purchase orders confirmations from the supplier, freight management and custom clearance duties. The position requires responding to EMEA customer queries on spare parts availability and escalating orders to suppliers as required.
General responsibilities:
* Acting ethically and according to (COMPANY NAME)'s values and philosophy following the company rules and policies
* Showing active interest in developing his/her own work, skills and competencies
* Committing to delivering high quality in all circumstances
* Taking responsibility for safety of everyone working in the company (reports any identified safety concerns)
* Contributing in creating and maintaining good working relations in the team as well as between other departments and locations
Other Responsibilities:
* Releasing purchase orders based on ERP MRP requirements and ensuring the purchasing cycle is complete until the goods are received.
* Maintaining and updating material MRP data in the ERP according as per instructions and (COMPANY NAME) processes (lead times, safety stock, re-order points, Lot sizes) to ensure optimized spare parts availability.
* Freight mananagement as per (COMPANY NAME)'s standard processes.
* Identifying potential delays from the suppliers, and ensure timely escalations.
* Proactively escalating / reacting quickly to material shortages with suppliers in support.
* Collaborating closely with Customer Service, Warehouse, PCBA and Tech support teams to ensure smooth flow of information on Spare parts.
* Checking and approving freight and supplier related invoices
