Hybrid Working
We have a Hybrid approach to working here at Starling - our preference is that you're located within a commutable distance of one of our offices so that we're able to interact and collaborate in person. We don't like to mandate how much you visit the office and work from home, that's to be agreed upon between you and your manager.

We have built our entire banking platform in house and mostly in Java. We are looking for people who want to work on building the tooling that is used by our engineers on a daily basis.
About the Role
Our infrastructure spans across AWS, Google Cloud and our physical data centres to support our internal operations. You will work within the Security Engineering team to engineer and support the technical mechanisms that ensure that the bank's systems and data remain secure at all times.
* Designing, building and maintaining internal security tools, services and the infrastructure they run on;
* Helping the Security Team to automate security processes and procedures;
* Investigation, triage and management of security incidents;
* Contribution to Starling's secure architecture design;

Profil requis du candidat:

We're open-minded when it comes to hiring and we care more about aptitude and attitude than specific experience or qualifications. Below is an overview of experience that would be helpful:
* Experience in programming in Golang
* Knowledge of public cloud technologies, in particular AWS and GCP
* Some experience of using IAC technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes
* Experience of working in any software development role; DevOps, SRE or Security Engineering experience is a nice to have
* Some knowledge of certification management, mTLS and SCEP is a plus
* A genuine enthusiasm for identifying security problems and building solutions to them

Our process:
Interviewing is a two way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you! Our interviews are conversational and we want to get the best from you, so come with questions and be curious. In general you can expect the below, following a chat with one of our Talent Team:
* Initial phone call - ~45 minutes
* Take home technical test to be discussed in the technical interview - ~3 hours
* Technical interview - ~1.5 hours
* Final Interview - ~40 minutes
