About this role:

As a Lead People Technology Specialist, you will be part of the People Technology Development team responsible for the Product Area of 'People Experience' which includes Performance, Talent, Learning, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and Benefits related systems. You will design, deliver and maintain solutions across a variety of systems related to your Product Area including Workday.

These are some of the key ingredients to the role:

* Independently oversees large cross-functional projects, guiding junior professionals and ensuring smooth execution with minimal supervision.
* Acts as a mentor and support system for other specialists within the team, acting as an escalation point where necessary
* Makes informed decisions with regards to People Experience products and develops holistic solutions to address product challenges comprehensively
* Utilises POCs and prototypes to accelerate progress and drive innovation, adoption and quality of our People Experience products
* Sets and maintains quality standards across project teams, ensuring alignment with the wider HR and People technology strategy and promoting system-wide excellence
* Assists leadership in evaluating solution costs (value, cost of delay, feasibility, dependencies, risks etc.) within projects
* Communicates with stakeholders to manage expectations and ensure alignment across the product area, fostering collaboration and understanding.

What will you bring to the table?

* Significant specialised depth and breadth of work experience in People technology.
* In particular has extensive experience with Workday in the areas of Performance, Talent, and Learning. Additional experience in Talent Acquisition and Compensation would be a plus.
* Has extensive and varied systems knowledge to be able to get quickly up to speed on different projects or issues to support other team members.
* Proactively seeks opportunities to initiate new ideas/changes, developing original and fresh improvements to own work, sharing ideas and encouraging others to do the same.
* Prioritises the end-user perspective, consistently delivering high-quality solutions, and ensuring that day-to-day work adds tangible value to stakeholders and end-users.
* Develops strong rapport with stakeholders through effective communication, and proactively builds relationships across HR and the wider business for mutual understanding and collaboration.
* Experience working with an Agile methodology is a plus
