VIE - Development Engineer - H/F

Why do we need you ?

📢 As a VIE, you'll join our Ladenburg Development Center to help us optimize our process for the gypsum fiber board production. You'll have both lab activities to test various conditions and mechanical tests, with the purpose to increase our products strength. If you're looking for a challenging R&D project with the ability to step in the production reality, this role is made for you!
🎯 The main role
Your missions will consist in testing board materials and conditions at the lab scale and analyzing the results. Then, depending on data analysis, results will be transferred and implemented in our plant, in collaboration with the R&D team. Meetings with the plant will also be held weekly so that you can present the latest results on these investigations and optimization of production process.
This will consist in:
* Analyzing existing reports and trial documentation to identify trends;
* Working on the organization, production and analysis of boards at our lab;
* Focusing on lab analysis of samples (chemical and optical methods will be used to assess board properties);
* Attending full scale trial at the plant;
* Documenting and presenting the results.

Is this job for you ?

If you recognize yourself in the following description, don't hesitate to apply!
* Engineering background (e.g. material science).
* High verbal and written communication skills in English; German basics are welcome.
* You are able to work autonomously, have an interest for technical aspects and have a hands-on mentality.
* Some laboratory testing experience would be a plus.
* Class B driver's license would be beneficial due to the work location.
Please note that this role will occasionally involve carrying some loads.

The Ladenburg Development Center (LDC) is the development center for Isover (insulation products) and Rigips (gypsum products). As a VIE, you will be part of the gypsum Team of Rigips, which consists of 2 engineers, 4 lab technicians and 1 other person on a VIE mission.
