The Communications Intern is expected to help share the (COMPANY NAME) story, its products, and services to the target audience. The Communications Intern will be immersed in the promotion and branding initiatives, and internal communication activities of (COMPANY NAME).

Responsibilities:
* External communications
* Gain an understanding of the company story, its people, services and operations, and stakeholders
* Monitor and flag (COMPANY NAME) media coverage, and relevant competitor and industry news to help draw strategic insights for communication activities
* Research on communication activities and media channels to assist in delivering high-level placements
* Work closely with the department in the execution of external communication activities such as Internal Communications
* Coordinate with other departments in planning and executing internal communication activities
* Help cultivate the company's existing relationships with government, business associations, civil society groups, and other stakeholders that will be relevant to overall company objectives

Qualifications:
* Enrolled in journalism, marketing, communications, business administration, or related field
* Strong writing and oral communication skills
* Experience in graphic design and laying out publicity, event, and school promotional materials
* Experience in campus journalism/publications; creative writing classes/organizations
* Interest in news and current affairs
* Interest in event and project management
* Interest in influencer marketing, social media marketing, and stakeholder mapping
* A passion for working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
* Adept multitasker with the ability to quickly prioritize
* A personable self-starter, able to build good connections with both internal and external stakeholders
* Excellent verbal and written communication and a creative thinker
* Proficient in Google suite and a good comfort level using enterprise software
