Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Intern to join our dynamic team.
This internship will focus on plant operational expenditure (OPEX) procurement, providing a
unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of procurement within an industrial
setting.

Responsibilities:
* Help track and analyze plant OPEX spending patterns and identify potential cost-saving opportunities
* Assist in the procurement process for plant OPEX items, including identifying suppliers, requesting quotes, and comparing offers
* Develop Procurement synergies between Service Centers
* Partner closely with the Category Managers to align the negotiation strategies
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand plant operational needs and procurement requirements
* Assist in maintaining and updating supplier databases and performance metrics
* Participate in supplier negotiations and meetings under supervision
* Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the procurement department
* Assist in preparing reports and presentations on procurement activities and performance
* Learn and apply relevant procurement policies, procedures, and best practices

Qualifications:

* Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to multitask on several concurrent projects
* Ability to work and thrive in a team environment
* Ability to work with customers and leadership in remote locations
* Communicate effectively to groups in person and over the phone
* Working knowledge of MS Office suite
* Problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail and perseverance
