Responsibilities

Purpose:

The Engineer shall be rotated to provide technical support and work in the 3 units in Technology Support:

* TV Studios & OB Support (TVS)
* Media Delivery (MD)
* Technical Support (BE IP)

The Scope

The Engineer is expected:

i. TV Studios & OB Support (TVS)

* To support the design, installation and maintenance of broadcast enterprise systems for Studio Production, Location Unit and Outside Media Production. He/She assists in delivering infrastructure projects, which includes system integration, acceptance tests and enhancement work
* To perform preventive and corrective maintenance of broadcast related equipment and infrastructure which involves delivering infrastructure projects as per technical instructions, standard procedures and learning on-the-job in maintaining TV Studios, Outside Broadcast Production, OB van systems/ equipment and Parliament House for live broadcast and production
* To assist in the setup and provide technical support of production facilities for major events coverage

ii. Media Delivery (MD)

* To support the design, installation and maintenance of allocated parts of the organisation's linear and non-linear media equipment and infrastructure
* To assist in delivering Contribution infrastructure projects which includes maintenance on microwave link, fibre link, cellular data bonding link and other types of wired and wireless links equipment and infrastructure which involve delivering Media Contribution projects as per technical instructions, standard procedures and learning on-the-job in a project environment
* To assist in the setup and support the media connectivity and delivery from outside locations to base for live broadcast and production

iii. Technical Support (BE IP)

* To support the design, installation and maintenance of broadcast enterprise and production IP infra media network
* To assist in delivering infrastructure projects, which includes system integration, acceptance tests and enhancement work
* To perform preventive and corrective maintenance of broadcast related equipment and infrastructure which involves delivering infrastructure projects as per technical instructions, standard procedures and learning on-the-job in maintaining broadast controller, orchestrator and monitoring system for media IP network

Qualifications

Requirements:

* Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or Information Engineering & Media or Computer Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution
* Hands-on Engineer with interest in broadcast engineering
* Knowledge in IT and computer network
* Proficient in written and communication skills
* A team player who is able to work independently and is prepared to perform shift duties
