Family Description

Direct Production (DP) covers the overall manufacturing operations of (COMPANY NAME). Contains the direction and monitoring of business' operational processes concerning production, man and machinery performance, and maintenance, as well as related cost controls, quality, and packaging tasks.

Subfamily Description

Direct Production (DPO) associates with the issuing of material to the production line, running the production line, conducting testing and quality controls, packaging of products, staging products, and releasing of products to the delivery. Contains disposal of waste, the maintenance of machinery and equipment, and the production site as such.

* Carries out work, using common sense, that is prescribed and completed with close supervision (EG carries out packaging and delivery tasks).

* Under direct supervision executes routine process maintenance tasks.

* Has limited discretion to vary from established procedures, and decision-making requirements are limited (EG assembles modules and mechanical parts, packs the products for shipping)
