The Position
Medical Lead is a key, field based Medical Affairs role that develops broad medical & scientific expertise within given Disease/Therapeutic Areas. As a Field Medical Lead, you establish and manage long-term, peer-to-peer collaborative relationships with key Therapeutic Area Experts (TAEs) in a given therapeutic area, contribute to the disease area medical strategy in collaboration with disease area medical lead and prepare/execute a regional medical plan in line with this medical strategy.
Key Responsibilities
* Establish long-term, peer-to-peer relationships with TAEs and investigators in a given therapeutic field and deliver quality interactions and services that bring value to physicians, and that are aligned with Roche strategies,
* Have high medical competence, to understand current medical knowledge and marketing strategy. Keep their information up to date at all times through internal trainings and independent scientific resources in a responsibility therapeutic area,
* Collect insights from TAEs during clinical visits and scientific activities in the responsibility area and share these insights with relevant units,
* Contribute to the medical strategy in collaboration with Medical Lead and prepare a regional medical plan in line with this strategy,
* Cooperate closely with Disease Area Medical Lead in medical processes to support product teams in a given therapeutic area (preparing a medical presentation, etc.) and support implementation of planned actions (advisory board, regional / national / international scientific activities, digital medical projects, etc.)
* Propose new centers for clinical research, review feasibility of existing centers, center development plan, patient recruitment, retention of patients and support for the development of central management in collaboration with Clinical Medical Lead
* Understand and act in line with legal, regulatory and company standards and codes of practice (such as Roche Code of Conduct and any other directives, SOPs and guidelines) and apply them to his/her daily practice
* Respond to unsolicited questions from HCPs in accordance to local laws, regulations and codes and Roche SOPs, facilitate their needs of up to date scientific data by ensuring they have the best quality available information they require
* Determine the training needs of the internal stakeholders in his/her region with Disease Area Lead, and to actively take part in the organization and realization of update and development trainings, and provide therapeutic and scientific training support to other internal staff with Medical Lead
Who You Are
* You have Medicine, pharmacy or dentistry degree
* Your experience in Oncology and/or Hematology is preferred
* Your previous experience in Pharmaceutical Industry is preferred
* You are fluent in Turkish and English
* You have strategic thinking and growth mindset
* You are collaborative and experienced in stakeholder management
