Job Title: Operational Excellence Professional
Location: Barrow-in-Furness. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: From £35,802
What you'll be doing:
* Leading and contributing on elements of Operational Excellence initiatives and responsible business behaviours
* Responsible for the deployment of applicable improvement tools and techniques to team members and stakeholders ensuring they have a thorough understanding of the content, risks, and control measures and that they can demonstrate their competence to apply them
* Supporting the Operational Excellence Management team in addressing planned and unplanned tasks
* Providing guidance to less experienced colleagues
* Supporting with the functional development of Operational Excellence
Your skills and experiences:
Essential
* Working understanding of Operational Excellence/Continuous Improvement methodologies including Lean and Six Sigma
* Knowledge of Project Management principles
* Demonstrable experience of presentation skills and leading workshops
* Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people and teams motivating them to embrace change and create buy in
* Experience of understanding and breaking down complex issues and communicating to a variety of stakeholders
Desirable
* Background in STEM preferred or equivalent experience
* Ideally Lean Practitioner and /or Six Sigma Qualified or relevant industry-based experience

As an Operational Excellence Professional, you will be working alongside an immensely complex and unique product, this is a fantastic opportunity to help solve engineering and manufacturing problems and to be part of making a real difference. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
