Poste et missions: OVERVIEW & SCOPE OF ROLE The Cost Controller will carry out operational costing, analysis, reporting and control activities for the site and ensure they are carried out efficiently, effectively and in line with best practice and the Morgan Code. The person will also be expected to take an active part in delivering a high commitment to Environment, Health and Safety under Morgan's 'ThinkSAFE' Programme. The Cost Controller will also be required to work closely with the accounting shared service team, where all transactional processes take place e.g. reconciliations, reporting banking/treasury, receivables collection and supplier payments. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Responsibility for all operational cost controlling elements e.g. cost accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, stock cut-off etc. * Drive a strong relationship with the accounting shared service team to ensure all transactional accounting work can be completed in line with expected timelines e.g. reconciliations, reporting, annual stock valuation roll update etc., and support team where local assistance is required e.g. stock and fixed asset verification * Ensure all aspects of the operational finance are in line with group accounting policy and group internal control procedures * Support creation of operational capital expenditure projects with appropriate justification * Support request for quotation (RFQ) process within the business to ensure appropriate costing assumptions are used * Support lean initiatives within operations to enable products to be delivered at lowest cost whilst achieving required level of quality * Monitor and analyse non-financial KPI's to help drive operations forwards e.g. energy consumption, maintenance spend etc. * Model and interpret financial data to support strategic and tactical initiatives in operations e.g. costings to support pricing and utilisation decisions, return on investment analysis etc. * Support the S&OP process from an operational finance perspective to ensure data required for the supply meeting is supplied and supports the process where demand can be reconciled and converted into monthly financial forecasts that can be usefully be used by the business to make critical business decisions e.g. investment, capacity adjustments etc. * Lead the operational budget and forecast process by partnering with key stakeholders across the sites. Being the operational lead for finance and challenging business performance. * Support internal and external audits for the business as appropriate * Support operational data governance e.g. Item Master detail, Product Costing etc. and ensuring accurate master data is maintained within our ERP system in relation to operational areas * Drive standardisation across all of EMEA operations, ensuring processes and procedures are fully documented and completed. Be main point of contact for IT for any system improvements required in relation to operations * Lead best practice and lean initiative improvements in the function, including automation of processes and improvement in cash generation * Work with other departments e.g. IT, supply chain, purchasing to ensure efficient processes in operations * Support the EMEA Finance Director and lead special projects as requested

Requerimientos del candidato/a:

* Graduate, ideally qualified in business administration/accountancy or equivalent * Experience of operational/manufacturing cost controlling e.g. cost accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, inventory control etc. * Ability to communicate in English to a high standard * Knowledge of IFRS * Knowledge of JDE E1 ERP system or similar global ERP system * Experience of business partnering * Excellent inter-personal skills with the ability to work with a diverse team in your own plant, EMEA accounting shared service team and externally * Confidence to present recommendations and constructively challenge Thermal Ceramics Management team * Ability to influence and persuade people at all levels of the organisation. * Ability to work independently and flexibly, using own initiative * Ability to think through complexity and make difficult decisions * Methodical, organised and an eye for detail * Persistence, ability not to accept no for an answer * High energy with an ability to demonstrate resilience in achieving goals/targets. * Excellent time management and ability to perform under tight deadlines * Excellent Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel * Experience of improving processes, procedures and systems Desired: * Ability to communicate in at least one other European language (ideally French or Italian) * Knowledge of data analytics systems - Hubble and Qlikview strongly preferred * Experience of working with accounting shared service centre remotely in different countries/with different cultures * Experience of financial reporting, analysis and controls within a global multinational manufacturing business
