What you'll do

* Product Strategy: Craft a long-term vision for your team's product, balancing trade-offs pragmatically and aligning it with the overarching company vision.
* Team Motivation and Coaching: Exhibit leadership and inspire your team members, acting as a catalyst by coaching in areas such as engineering best practices, scalable architecture design, and product roadmap planning, thus having a multiplier effect.
* Goal Setting: Establish clear individual and team objectives that harmonize with (COMPANY NAME)'s strategic data and engineering ambitions, working closely with the product manager to achieve alignment.

Who you are
* Extensive Experience: Bring 7+ years in the software development industry within a fast-paced tech environment, including at least 2 years of leadership experience.
* Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Core Java, web services, queueing frameworks, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL.
* Innovative Mindset: Relish challenging the status quo and possess an innate curiosity to question the "why."
* Leadership Qualities: Dynamic self-starter adept at fostering alignment across multiple teams, with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities, and experienced in leading technical projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Strategic Thinking: Proven track record of collaborating with senior leadership to shape strategic direction, including product roadmaps.
* Communication and Team Player: Exceptional communicator who can clearly explain technical concepts to non-engineers, foster a culture of collaboration, and exhibit robust management skills and technical acumen.
* Hands-On Approach: Comfortable with hands-on work and able to define, implement, and monitor performance KPIs to quickly identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems.
