The Position
IT Infrastructure Project Manager

Job Summary
As the IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end lifecycle of small scale global IT infrastructure projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires a strong understanding of IT Infrastructure, project management methodologies technical expertise, and the ability to effectively collaborate with project stakeholders on a global scale.
Your primary focus will be on IT network, cloud and security projects, technical infrastructure deployment or improvement projects (such as audits, installations, obsolescence, upgrades,) ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance, delivering value to the organization.
As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager at IMERYS, you will work in a global environment as part of a highly motivated team with a focus on project delivery and continuous improvement. You will manage and participate in high-impact projects/programs that enable business endeavors and promote the adoption of new technologies.
Responsibilities
* Manage and participate the end-to-end lifecycle of IT infrastructure projects with a focus on:
* IT network & telecom projects (LAN/WLAN/WAN), unified communications
* IT container & virtualization, move to cloud (AWS) projects
* infrastructure network & application separation projects
* technical infrastructure deployment or improvement projects
* technical obsolescence and consolidations
* site audits, installations, upgrades, relocation
* Prepare and/or participate in the definition of projects objectives, scope, deliverables & collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, success criteria in alignment with the business goals
* Responsible for the project initiation, planning, execution, monitoring & controlling and close stages
* Responsible for preparing the detailed scope of works, and coordinating the technical design and specifications
* Develop the planning documentation such as work breakdown structure, project schedule, resources, and project budget
* Continuously monitor and control the project(s) progress, budget, project members engagement to ensure the on-time, on-budget delivery and the quality of projects outputs & deliverables
* Manage change control, assess risks & prepare mitigation actions with impact analysis for informed decision making
* Manage project work and relationships with the project(s) supplier(s) throughout the project lifecycle
* Manage the project(s) outcomes transition to the Operations teams, including Change, deploymentRelease, define UAT, acceptance criteria and coordinate the acceptance process and release
* Report project progress and status to project stakeholders and senior management as required
* Collaborate with project stakeholders, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of IT infrastructure solutions
* Perform scoping and assess Infrastructure requirements of business / other functions' project requests for small projects
* Act as activity leader in other technical or business-driven projects / programs managing the Infra scope of works
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends and emerging technologies in IT infrastructure technologies
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the project management function
Requirements
* Proven experience as Project Manager in the IT Infrastructure, network and cloud domain, minimum 3-5 years
* Track record in delivering projects on time, within budget, meeting quality standards and objectives
* In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure components, systems, security and architectures, including networking, servers, storage, and virtualization
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
* Fluent English speaker with professional-level written and verbal communication, presentation and technical writing skills
* Knowledge and experience with Waterfall, Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies
* Project management certification is highly desirable, PMP preferably
* ITIL certification and familiarization with the IT Service Management framework is desirable
* Knowledge of French would be advantageous
* Capability to manage & collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all organizational levels
* Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail
