Job Description:
The Freight Assistant Manager plays a critical role in supporting the freight/transport operations of Rexel Holdings Australia by providing operational support and oversight to ensure efficient and effective logistics processes. This position is responsible for coordinating transportation and shipment activities, undertaking analysis of usage and spend, and maintaining strategic partnerships with carriers and third-party logistics providers. The Freight Assistant Manager will collaborate closely with interdepartmental teams, including finance, procurement, customer service and staff across the greater branch network, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods
Candidate Requirements:
2+ years of full-time experience in logistics or supply chain roles. Advanced knowledge of Excel with proficiency across the remaining Microsoft Office suite Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in English. Desirable: Tertiary qualifications in Logistics, Supply Chain or industrial engineering
