Role description:
(COMPANY NAME) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Intern to join our team in the Philadelphia, PA, area this fall. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both transactional and claims-related legal work in an in-house role for a global organization. The internship will have specific emphasis on corporate, construction, public contracting, international, and other laws; incorporating legal research and critical thinking on various matters. The role will support our Business Area Counsel leading multiple North American Business Areas. The position's hours are flexible and can be adapted to the Intern's class schedule, with an expectation to be part-time during the academic year (approximately 10-20 hours per week). There is potential for the internship to extend into the summer and beyond, with hours to reflect same (i.e., summer hours could transition to full-time with no class schedule).
Role accountabilities:
* Perform miscellaneous legal research assignments as relates to construction, corporate, public contracting, design consultancy, international labor sharing, privacy, and other laws.
* Conduct contract reviews and legal research related to (COMPANY NAME)' use of Non-U.S. Labor on local projects.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of research findings as relates to various topics, including the above.
* Support the team in responding to FOIA/OPRA requests.
* Support the team in responding to subpoenas (for both document requests and testimony).
* Assist in the issuance and management of legal holds.
* Review basic legal documents, contracts, and transactional business information.
* Assist with certain corporate governance and licensing.
* Provide additional support to the Business Area Counsel as needed.

* Current 2L or 3L law student.
* Resides in the Philadelphia/Tri-State area for occasional in-person meetings.
* Role is predominantly remote, with North America Legal Team located in various locations.
* Eagerness to learn from experienced in-house counsel.
