Your mission, roles and responsibilities
Essential responsibilities and duties
* Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
* Conduct variance analysis and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Support the budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Monitor and analyze plant expenses and cost drivers.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate financial policies.
* Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance financial processes.
* Reporting to: Plant Controlling Manager
Key roles and responsibilities
* Collaborate with operations and production teams to improve financial performance
* Support the Plant Controller in financial decision-making
* Provide financial insights to support plant management
* Assist in the implementation of cost-control measures
Your profile and competencies to succeed
Qualifications:
* Strong accounting knowledge.
* Fluent in Japanese.
* Limited English proficiency is acceptable; candidates can improve their language skills on the job.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience:
* No prior experience in controlling required, but relevant coursework or internships are beneficial.
* Any relevant experience, such as internships or part-time roles in accounting or finance.
Skills and competencies:
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* Strong organizational skills.
