Business Analyst will work with the technical teams to drive a data lead process using data provided to them by the Data Engineering team of who has access to what data sets, to allow them to map and prioritise business engagement activity. Using this prioritisation and working closely with the Business SME's, you engage with the business and collect an agreed structured set of data that will be analysed and fed into migration planning. Business Analyst track progress and report on a regular basis of such progress, highlighting key issues and/or constraints impacting the successful completion of the work.

What will you be doing?
Main responsibilities:
* Shaping and defining the business outcome
* Delivering the business analysis activities on projects and programmes
* Integrity and alignment of the proposed and chosen solutions with the business needs
* Identifying, owning and managing the specific key risks and/or IT controls and Business Protection standards
* Solving problems and dealing with difficulties in line with policy, process and other guidelines applying technical knowledge and expertise
* Recommending change based on expert know how and analysis of the business situation taking account of similar previous problems
* Supporting project resources by giving advice or by taking on accountability to resolve more complex problems
* Building and maintaining effective relationships with the project team as well as extended stakeholders - incl. sponsor, business representatives and others (external subject matter experts, suppliers etc.)

What we're looking for?
* Proven experience in Business Analyst covering all stages of the project lifecycle (2-3 years preferable)
* Knowledge of change management processes along with a willingness to try new ways of working and solutions (fail fast)
* Experience of working on large scale assignments in complex environments and multiple stakeholders involved
* Effective Communication Skills combined with ability to work at pace with resiliency
* Good analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage teams across multiple areas (business & IT) combined with discovery skills
* Good facilitation skills - ability to liaise/present to a variety of individuals
* Comfortable with leading, negotiating and influencing skills to challenge and drive the necessary changes
* Thinking out of the box, driving innovation in the way in which we deliver change and outcomes

Nice to have:
* Proven track record of leading data analysis for pipelines and warehousing along with experience of working with systems and tech
* Experience of data migration projects - specifically End User BI tools/ Excel /Power BI
* Knowledge of Data Science and Data Analysis solutions
* Proficient in business processes mapping
* Good understanding of complex data
* Preferable experience in insurance industry
* Good Excel skills
