The opportunity
We are the leading provider of Deals related services in Greece and part of the (COMPANY NAME) Global Deals Platform which generates annual revenues in excess of $ 8.0 billion for the Firm. Our Deals professionals work side-by-side with senior members of Private Equity and Corporate M&A clients to create tangible and sustainable value from their M&A transactions.
Our Deals - Transaction Services team is at the core of our Deals practice focusing on (a) Buy-side and Sell-side Financial / Business Due Diligence services, including Business Plan and Financial model reviews, (b) advising clients in their negotiations on the financial aspects of Share Purchase Agreements, (c) Reviewing Completion Accounts to safeguard value, (d) Vendor Assistance services, and (e) special purpose assignments (e.g. DD for Refinancing purposes, Bid support and Defence services etc.). Our Financial / Business DD team is consistently involved in high profile M&A transactions covering a wide range of key Industries. Our client base consists primarily of large public and private Greek and Multinational corporates, Private Equity funds and their Portfolio Companies.
Due to the continued growth of our practice and consistently high demand for Financial Due Diligence and Transaction Support services, we are now proceeding with selective recruitment of high caliber Managers in our Deals - transaction Services team in Athens.
At Deals - Transaction Services you will have the opportunity to work on high profile M&A transactions, to increase your visibility to senior members of our clients' management team and build lasting relationships as their trusted advisor. You will also become part of a high achieving, collaborative team which focuses on knowledge sharing, thought leadership and the continuous development of its people through internal and external training and upskilling courses.
Examples of tasks you will work on as part of the team
* Acting as the key point of contact with Clients and Targets, handling day-to-day communications and building your personal brand in the market
* Collaborating with (COMPANY NAME) Network teams on cross border transactions involving foreign private equity and corporate clients
* Participating in scoping meetings with prospective clients to understand their needs, preparing budgets, drafting Engagement Letters and undertaking risk management activities
* Managing and coaching the FDD project team, designing the DD deliverables and reviewing team workings and output
* Leveraging our integrated Due Diligence offering to lead diverse x-LoS teams and increase your brand eminence across Deals, Tax, Legal and Advisory
* Participating in recruitment activities and actively contributing to further growing the team and maintaining its market leading status
* Contributing to Business Development efforts including preparing proposals for new work, capability statements, materials for client presentations, Deal Origination activities etc.
* Taking ownership for the development of seniors and associates by designing and delivering targeted internal trainings on technical topics and new data analysis tools
* Adopting emerging technologies into the way you work. We have innovated tools across our business, enhancing the client experience on engagements as well as providing you with access to opportunities to continue developing your digital IQ and Capabilities.
What we are looking for
* Previous experience (5-6 years) in Transaction Services (buy or sell-side financial due diligence, SPA advice and review of Completion Accounts), Business Restructuring Services, Audit / Broad Assurance Services, Financial Planning and Analysis positions in the industry
* Excellent academic record from a top-tier university with background in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Engineering, or other relevant discipline; qualified or part-qualified (ACA / ACCA or CFA) will be considered an asset
* Good analytical skills and solid understanding of Financial Analysis, IFRS / Financial Reporting and Consolidations, Budgeting and Business plan review processes
* Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and in Greek and a client-centric mindset offering advice and support from initiation to deal completion
* Commercial focus and genuine interest in understanding deal transactions and their unique value drivers
* Collaborative, innovative mindset and willingness to drive upskilling initiatives by becoming part of our digital transformation journey
* Internal drive to embrace new challenges and technological tools (incl. AI) and being at the forefront of change
* Problem solving nature and enjoying finding ways to reimagine the possible
* Excellent computer skills (including Excel skills) and an appetite to invest further in own development and digital upskilling; a proficient user of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.) knowledge of Power tools (Pivot, Query, BI), Alteryx or other programming language will be considered an asset
* Confident and positive, "can do" and client centric attitude
* Commitment to providing excellent quality work and building relationships with colleagues and clients.
